DESCRIPTION

Single component silicone acrylic base air drying Heat Resistance coating black Up to 400° C for good solvent, chemical resistance and corrosion protection. 

RECOMMENDED USE

It is recommended as a heat resisting coating for Chimney, Boiler, engine parts, storage tank, muffles, Pipes, doors & windows, electrical equipment etc. Recommended as finish coat for insulated surfaces in systems with suitable primers. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum substrates.

APPLICATION DETAILS

APPLICATION METHOD                                                 :       By Brush/By Conventional spray.

THINNER                                                                          :       ST-401.

RECOMMENDED DFT                                                       :      30 – 35 µm

 

Generally, no thinner is required for brush application, however under adverse environment conditions about 5% of thinner. By volume, can be added. Apply evenly in crisscross manner and ensure the uniform application. Use quality brushes for paint application.

To secure lasting adhesion to the subsequent product all surfaces should be clean,dry and free from any contamination.

The surface shall be sweep blast cleaned with the nozzle angle at 45-60° from perpendicular at reduced nozzle pressure to create a sharp and angular surface profile using approved nonmetallic abrasive media.

ALUMINIUM

The surface shall be hand or machine abraded with non-metallic abrasives or bonded fiber machine or hand abrasive pads to impart a scratch pattern to the surface.

Dry abrasive blast cleaning to SSPCSP 13/NACE No. 6.

GALVANISED STEEL

The surface shall be clean, dry and appear with a rough and dull profile.

Sweep blast-cleaning using nonmetallic abrasive leaving a clean, rough and even pattern.

Notes

1.       Do not apply paint when temperature falls below 10°C or rises above 50°C and when Relative Humidity is above 85%, or during rain, fog or mist, surface temperature must be minimum of 3°C above Dew point.

2.       Brush and Spray equipment should be cleaned with NEO’s recommended thinner otherwise equipment is liable to damage.

3.       DFT variation can be obtained by change in application method/thinning ratio. Contact NEO’s Representative for further assistance.

4.       Shelf life indicated is minimum of this product in sealed condition. Individual component required to store in cool, dry and covered condition, away from heat and ignition.

Health & safety

This is a solvent-based paint and care should be taken to avoid inhalation of Spray mist or vapor as well as contact between the wet paint and exposed skin or eyes.
